From Research Question to Publication: A Practical Guide to Writing a Strong Research Paper
Writing a research paper can initially appear difficult because it involves much more than collecting information and arranging it into pages. A strong research paper begins with a meaningful question, follows a systematic process of investigation and ends with a conclusion supported by evidence.
Research writing is therefore not simply an academic writing exercise. It is a disciplined method of examining a problem, understanding what is already known, gathering appropriate evidence and presenting an interpretation that other readers can evaluate.

Write a Focused Conclusion
The conclusion should answer the research questions and reflect the evidence presented in the paper.
It should not introduce completely new arguments.
A useful conclusion may summarize the major findings, explain their implications, acknowledge important limitations and suggest areas for future research.
Cite Sources Properly and Maintain Originality
Whenever ideas, findings, models, statistics or words from another source are used, appropriate acknowledgement must be provided.
